Its been a while since I've made a Music Monday post but its monday again so here goes.
This weeks Music Monday is all about Eyedea & Abilities. Eyedea & Abilities are a hip hop duo from Minnesota who played a huge role in underground hip hop starting in the early 90's. Eyedea is the lyrical genius while Abilities provides the sounds to put the message through. Eyedea has a way with his lyrics that really get his message through and hit home. In his song "Bottle Dreams" he tells the chilling tale of a girl who is abused and crys out for help but gets no reply.
Unfortunately Eyedea(Mike Larsen) passed away late 2010 but he lives on through his music and his music will always be a staple in hip hop.
